150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda
To commemorate 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a four year programme has been chalked out to celebrate the Anniversary from the year 2012 to 2016. Bharat Parikrama with 14 feet mega statue of Swamijee is one of the prominent and an innovative programme under taken during 2012. The Parikrama programme has already completed on 13 May 2012.It was started from M.Rampur on 31.01.2012 with 06 vehicles and statue of Swamijee decorated in a hydraulic jack system Truck. 60 participants guided by Swami Vairagyananda, secretary travelled 100 important places like Bhawanipatana, Titlagarh, Bolangir, Sonepur, Angul, Hatura, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Puri, Bhadrak, Kolkata, Ashansole, Bardhaman, Gaya, Vanaras, Allhabad, Raibareli, Amethi, Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Delhi, Haridwar, Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Hisar, Jammu, Ramvan, SriNagar, KhirBhavani, Katra, Dharamsala, Una, Kurukhetra, Khetri, Jaypore, Ajmer, Chittorgarh, Ahmadabad, Vadodora, Surat, Belgaun, Bengluru, Mysore, Mumbai, Pune, Kolapur, Thiruantapuram, Kanyakumari, Kochi, Vijaywada, Rajmoundri, Vijayanagram, Vishakhapatnam, Koraput, Jagdalpur, Raipur, Nuapada, Bhawanipatana etc. within 100 days. The aim was to infuse the universal message of Swamijee in the blood of the Indian youth for reconstruction of India in the theme of unity, integrity, universal brotherhood, harmony of faith etc. Literature containing the valuable message of Swamijee was distributed in nine languages in different states besides the tribal folk dance displayed by the children folk artists and youth meeting organized at different places. This programme had a tremendous impact on youth mass & highly appreciated by the general public. In addition to the above, a special 10 days Agriculture Training Programme for all categories have been undertaken inside the Ashrama premises during this Great Event.
